Motherhood has a way

POV: you didn’t even realize your pink was missing until it started coming back.

Motherhood has a way of taking pieces of you without you even noticing. One day you look in the mirror and wonder when the sparkle in your eyes dimmed. When the laughter felt a little less full. When the colors around you started to fade into shades of grey.

You get so busy giving everything to your kids, your partner, your home, your work that you don’t even notice how much you’ve given away from yourself.

And then slowly, in tiny moments, it begins to return. A laugh that makes your chest ache in the best way. A hug that fills you up instead of draining you. A morning where you look at your reflection and see a glimpse of the woman you thought you lost.

That’s your pink. Your light. Your life.

It comes back, not all at once, but piece by piece. And one day you realize it never really left it was just waiting for you to notice it again.
