Mother’s Day isn’t about flowers
Mother’s Day isn’t about flowers. It’s not about getting a break or a day away.
It’s about finally feeling seen. It’s about a day where she doesn’t have to carry it all.
Where she isn’t the one making the plans, cooking the food, or cleaning up the mess.
A day where she feels appreciated without having to ask for it.
She doesn’t need fancy gifts or grand gestures.
She just wants someone to say, “I see how much you do.”
To look her in the eyes and mean it.
She wants to be with her family, the ones she pours herself into every single day,
and for once, feel like she can just be held, not hold everything together.
That’s what Mother’s Day really is.
Not a break from being a mom
but a day where being a mom is honored the way it deserves to be.
