Anne Boleyn is arrested and charged

Following the arrests of several men associated with her, including her brother George, Queen Anne Boleyn is arrested and charged with the crimes of adultery, treason, incest and witchcraft. She is imprisoned in the Tower of London.
Reaching the Tower by barge on the Thames, Anne collapses and begs to know of the whereabouts of her father and "sweet brother", and demands to be told what exactly she has been charged with that warrants her imprisonment.
In a letter to her estranged husband a few days later, Anne wrote:
“Your Grace's displeasure, and my imprisonment, are things so strange unto me, as what to write, or what to excuse, I am altogether ignorant.”
She also pleaded with Henry that, no matter what quarrel he had with her, to spare “the innocent souls of those poor gentlemen” whom had been implicated in her downfall.
