Eleanor of Aquitaine
Eleanor of Aquitaine was a powerful queen of England and France in the 12th century. She was married to two kings, Louis VII of France and later Henry II of England.
Throughout her life, Eleanor was known for her charisma, intelligence, and political savvy, but she was also notorious for her extramarital affairs.
Eleanor had a reputation for being passionate and sexually liberated, which was considered scandalous for a woman of her status in medieval Europe. During her marriage to Louis VII, she allegedly had affairs with several of his vassals, including Geoffrey Plantagenet, the father of her second husband, Henry II and with her own uncle , Raymond of Antioch and later, her sons' tutor, William Marshal.
