This helmet
This helmet is perhaps the most beautiful yet at the same time most terrifying thing to behold. It is of the "Phyrgian-Chalcidian Type" helmet and was made in the 4th Century BC, largely from bronze, but also containing silver and a "Tinned finish" for shine. The riveted "Spiked Griffin Crest" is a weapon in itself. The two large wings extending out from the cheechpieces give it the common knickname of the "Batman" helmet. Under this colour lighting the oxidisation makes the bronze petina appear in a kaleidoscope of colours, adding to its charm. It sold at auction 6 moths ago for a handsome £ 180 000 GBP. Imagine that on a marble pedestal in you living room; quite the talking piece!
