A Most Immoral Lady (1929)
Montagu Love, Sidney Blackmer, Leatrice Joy, and the Canadian actor Walter Pigeon in his movie debut, in "A Most Immoral Lady" (1929), a Pre-Code American drama film, directed by John Griffith Wray, and written by Forrest Halsey. It is based on the 1928 play 'A Most Immoral Lady' by Townsend Martin. The film also stars Josephine Dunn and Robert Edeson. The film was released by Warner Bros. on September 22, 1929. This was Sidney Blackmer's first movie appearance. Sidney Blackmer's second to last movie appearance, four decades later, was as Ruth Gordon's character "Minnie Castevet"s husband, "Steven Marcato" / "Roman Castavet", in 'Rosemary's Baby' (1968), an American psychological horror film written and directed by Roman Polanski, and based on Ira Levin's 1967 novel of the same name. The movie also stars Mia Farrow in the titular role as "Rosemary Woodhouse", John Cassavetes as her husband "Guy Woodhouse", Maurice Evans as "Hutch", Ralph Bellamy as "Dr. Abraham Sapirstein", Angela Dorian as "Terry Gionoffrio", Patsy Kelly as "Laura-Louise McBirney", Elisha Cook, Jr. as "Mr. Nicklas", Charles Grodin as "Dr. Hill", in his movie debut, D'Urville Martin as "Diego", and Tony Curtis as "Donald Baumgart".
