Sometimes I don’t need a solution

 Sometimes I don’t need a solution

I don’t need a parenting article
Or a gentle suggestion
Or a reminder to “enjoy it while it lasts”

Sometimes I just need someone to look at me
In the middle of the chaos
While my house is a mess
My patience is thin
My eyes are tired
And my coffee is cold

And say
I get it

Not to fix it
Not to judge it
Just to be with me in it

Because motherhood can be beautiful
And heavy
At the exact same time

And the most comforting words in the world right now are are
“You’re doing a great job”
“I see you”
And
“You’re not alone”
