I don’t take parenting advice from people who don’t have kids
No, I don’t take parenting advice from people who don’t have kids.
Because honestly? If you’ve never had a baby screaming in your arms while you’re running on two hours of sleep, you don’t get to tell me what I should be doing. If you’ve never had a toddler meltdown in Target, a picky eater who survives on goldfish crackers, or a kid who refuses to sleep anywhere but your bed… then sit this one out.
It’s real easy to think you’d “never do that” when it’s not your reality. But until you’ve actually been in the trenches, you don’t know what you would or wouldn’t do.
Parenting is messy, it’s loud, it’s exhausting, and it’s full of choices you swore you’d never make until you had no other option.
So thanks, but no thanks. I’ll take advice from the ones covered in spit-up and running on cold coffee, not the ones judging from the sidelines.
