Judy Garland


 Judy Garland, the legendary actress and singer whose voice and performances have left an indelible mark on entertainment history. From her early days performing as a young child in a singing trio to becoming MGM’s biggest female star, Garland’s life was a blend of extraordinary talent and personal struggles. She is best remembered for her iconic roles in The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me in St. Louis, and A Star Is Born, as well as her groundbreaking work on stage and in live concerts.

Judy Garland passed away on June 22, 1969, due to an accidental overdose of prescription medication. Her legacy includes two Academy Award nominations, a special Academy Award for The Wizard of Oz, five Grammy Awards, a Tony Award, and numerous Emmy nominations. Originally interred at Ferncliff Cemetery in New York, she was reinterred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in California in 2017, in a mausoleum alcove large enough to be joined by her children and grandchildren. Her gravesite is a place of reflection, celebrating a life devoted to bringing joy, emotion, and music to millions.
