The Man from Laramie


"The Man from Laramie" is a 1955 American Western film directed by Anthony Mann and starring James Stewart. The film is set in the American Southwest and follows the story of Will Lockhart (James Stewart), a former cavalry officer who arrives in the town of Coronado in search of the person responsible for selling rifles to the Apache tribe, which led to the death of his younger brother.

As Lockhart investigates, he becomes entangled in the complex dynamics of the Waggoman family, who own a large ranch outside of town. Alec Waggoman (Donald Crisp) and his son Dave (Alex Nicol) exert significant influence in the region, and Lockhart's pursuit of justice leads to tension and violence.
