Charles Brandon
15th May 1513: On this day in history Charles Brandon was created Viscount Lisle due to his contract for marriage to Elizabeth Grey, Viscountess Lisle. Elizabeth Grey was the daughter of John Grey 2nd Baron Lisle. Brandon received a number of grants to signify his new position. He would also have access to the coin and lands that his intended Elizabeth inherited.
