You know how those are made right

“You know how those are made right?”

“Wow don’t yall have a TV at home?”
“You must be rich to have all those kids.”

People say these things like they’re harmless jokes, but they forget there’s a real family standing on the other side of their punchline. A family that chose love. A family that chose each other.

Some people dream of a full house.
Some people dream of one child.
Some dream of none.
And all of those choices are valid.

But for some reason, big families get questioned the most. Judged the most. Teased the most. As if the size of a family is open for public discussion.

Here’s the truth:
How many kids someone wants is nobody else’s business.

A big family doesn’t mean irresponsible.
It doesn’t mean chaotic.
It doesn’t mean anything except this home was built with intention and love.
It means siblings who grow up with built in best friends.
It means a house full of memories and noise and connection.

So the next time someone wants to turn your family into a joke, remember this:
Their comments won’t feed your kids, raise your kids, or love your kids.

Let people build the family their heart was made for.
And mind your own business.
