SYNOPSIS: "Dexterous and risk-taking Lucky Garnett pursues dancing and gambling with equal verve. Engaged to the pretty Margaret Watson, Lucky gets pre-wedding nerves, which leads to the ceremony being called off. Margaret's father decides that Lucky can have a second chance at marrying her if he can make $25,000, so he heads to New York City to seek his fortune. When Lucky meets the beautiful dance teacher Penny Carroll, however, his priorities soon change."
STARRING: Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Victor Moore, Helen Broderick, Georges Metaxa, Eric Blore, Betty Furness, Landers Stevens and Gerald Hamer.

AWARDS & HONORS:
At the 1937 Academy Awards, Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields won the award for "Best Music - Original Song" and Hermes Pan was nominated but did not win for his choreography for "Bojangles of Harlem".
