One day
One day, your kids are going to see the real you.
Not the version you tried to sell the world. The everyday one.
They’ll notice how you showed up.
How you spoke to their other parent.
How you treated people when no one was watching.
How much effort you put into them and the life you built around them.
They’ll connect the dots.
They always do.
You’ll either be the person they admire and feel safe becoming,
or the example that quietly teaches them what they never want to repeat.
So love loudly.
Apologize when you’re wrong.
Be kind when it would be easier not to be.
Because they are always watching.
Always learning.
Always absorbing who you are.
