Don’t have kids just to mold them into a copy of you

Don’t have kids just to mold them into a copy of you.

Have them to love them, exactly as they are.

Your child isn’t here to relive your childhood or chase down your old dreams.
They’re here to live their own life, to grow into someone beautifully different from you.

They’ll think differently.
They’ll feel deeply.
They’ll believe in things you might not fully understand.

And that’s okay.
Because your job isn’t to control them.
It’s to guide them with love, hold space for who they are, and cheer them on as they become the person they were always meant to be.

That’s what real parenting looks like.
Unconditional love, even when their path doesn’t look like yours.
