Trivia : *James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan had known each other a long time before making this film. Both were in a summer stock company called the University Players.
*The name Matuschek is said 149 times throughout the film.
*Film You've Got Mail (1998) was inspired by this film, replacing letters with emails between the two unaware protagonists.
