I’m not raising kids who jump when I say jump
I’m not raising kids who jump when I say jump
Or who blindly follow every rule just because an adult said soI’m raising kids who know how to think for themselves
Who feel safe enough to question things
Who understand that respect is earned, not demanded by fear
In this house, we talk things out
We allow room for “why?”
We make space for big feelings, messy conversations, and second chances
Because I don’t want obedient little robots
I want humans who can stand on their own two feet
Who know how to set boundaries, speak up, and navigate this world with empathy and courage
If that means they push back sometimes, so be it
Because raising emotionally intelligent kids matters more to me than raising kids who never dare to challenge the status quo
