If my boundaries upset you

 If my boundaries upset you, chances are they were put there for a reason.

I’m not here to make everyone comfortable.
I’m here to protect my peace.
To guard my family.
To do what’s best for the little lives I’ve been trusted to raise.

If that means saying no more often, keeping my distance, or making choices you don’t agree with, that’s okay.
You don’t have to understand them.
You just have to respect them.

Because the people I go home to every night?
They’re the ones I answer to.
And I’ll always choose them first. Every single time.
