Barbara La Marr

 Barbara La Marr (July 28, 1896 – January 30, 1926)

La Marr was an actress and known as "The Girl Who Is Too Beautiful". She actually began working as a screenwriter, but made her on camera debut with Douglas Fairbanks in The Nut (1921), and quickly became a star with her beauty and talent. Although her film career flourished, she also embraced the fast-paced Hollywood nightlife, remarking in an interview that she slept no more than two hours a night. La Marr began abusing drugs and alcohol and reportedly developed a cocaine and heroin habit. Her lifestyle eventually began to affect her career and she was dropped by M-G-M. The drug and alcohol use began to take its toll, and she developed nephritis and tuberculosis, which ultimately ended her life at age 29. Barbara La Marr is interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
