Northcote School
Northcote School was built in 1906 and was the local center of education of the rural area in southwestern Manitoba until 1967. It was built with concrete blocks - common in areas of southern Manitoba during the first decade of the 20th century. The school bell sat atop the platform at the front of the school. I'm not sure what happened to the bell, but hopefully it is in a local museum now. The school was sold and used as a granary at one point, and now has supports to help keep it standing.
