She’s not who she used to be

She’s not who she used to be.

She’s softer now.
Quieter in her rage.
Louder in her boundaries.
More at peace in her solitude.
And she’s finally starting to recognize the woman in the mirror
Not just as someone’s mom, or partner, or daughter
But as her own person.
And that woman?
She’s everything she never thought she’d have the strength to become.
