Tabitha

January 14, 1978, the final episode of Tabitha aired on ABC. This short-lived fantasy sitcom, a spin-off of the hit series Bewitched, starred Lisa Hartman as Tabitha Stephens, the witch daughter of Samantha and Darrin.

The show originally premiered on September 10, 1977, following Tabitha as she worked as a production assistant at a Los Angeles TV station, balancing her magical powers with everyday life. Her younger brother Adam Stephens (David Ankrum) tried to keep her from using magic, while their meddlesome aunt Minerva (Karen Morrow) encouraged it. She also dealt with her egotistical love interest, talk show host Paul Thurston (Robert Urich), and her cranky but lovable boss Marvin Decker (Mel Stewart).
Despite appearances by familiar Bewitched characters—Dr. Bombay, Abner and Gladys Kravitz—and opening credits featuring the original Tabitha twins, the series struggled to find an audience and was canceled after 11 episodes. Other notable guest stars included Mary Grace Canfield, Werner Klemperer, Dack Rambo, Tracy Reed, Mary Wickes, and Fred Willard.
