BADLANDS
"BADLANDS" --- (1973) ---
MY THOUGHTS: I have seen this movie a couple of times, but it has been a while since I last watched it, so I was happy to revisit it. A lot of people want to know if it is a true story. While the story is fictional, it is loosely based on the real-life murder spree of Charles Starkweather and his girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate, in 1958. I think they did a great job with the film, starting with the casting of Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek. They are both so "young" in this film and it is fun to see them at the start of their careers; especially with both of them showing such promise and delivering such spot-on performances. It is definitely worth watching!
