I’m not asking for permission

 I’m not asking for permission.

I’m not looking for approval.
I’m not interested in how you did it “back in your day.”

This is my child.
And I get to decide what’s best.
Not you. Not your outdated advice. Not your judgment.

You had your chance. You raised yours.
Now let me raise mine
with intention, with boundaries, and with love.

Respect the way I parent,
or respectfully stay out of the way.

Because the days of quiet compliance are over.
Mothers are allowed to lead.
To protect.
To decide.

And that’s exactly what I’m doing.
