Seventh Heaven


 "Seventh Heaven" is a 1927 silent romantic drama film directed by Frank Borzage and starring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell.

The story is set in Paris during World War I and follows the romance between Diane (Janet Gaynor), a poor young woman who works as a street cleaner, and Chico (Charles Farrell), a sewer worker. Despite their difficult circumstances, the two fall deeply in love and find solace and happiness in each other's company.

As the war rages on, Chico is conscripted into the army, leaving Diane behind. Their love is put to the test as they struggle to survive and reunite amidst the chaos and devastation of the war.

"Seventh Heaven" is celebrated for its emotional depth, poignant storytelling, and powerful performances by its leads. Janet Gaynor won the first-ever Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the film, and the movie itself was nominated for Best Picture at the 1st Academy Awards.
