Strangers on a Train

"Strangers on a Train" is a 1951 American psychological thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film stars Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, and Robert Walker in his final role before his untimely death.

The story follows two strangers, Guy Haines (Farley Granger), a professional tennis player, and Bruno Antony (Robert Walker), a charming but disturbed young man, who meet by chance on a train. Bruno proposes a plan to "exchange murders" where each would kill the other's unwanted person, thus making it difficult for the police to establish a motive.

Initially dismissing Bruno's proposal as a joke, Guy soon finds himself ensnared in a web of deception and murder when Bruno carries out his end of the bargain without Guy's knowledge. As Bruno becomes increasingly obsessed with Guy and his personal life, Guy finds himself implicated in a series of murders and must race against time to clear his name and stop Bruno's deadly scheme.
