Baby Rose Marie
Baby Rose Marie (1923-2017) had her own radio show on NBC where she sang the hits and standards of the time sounding more like Sophie Tucker yhan a Shirley Temple type. She toured nationally and made seven short subject films and made an appearance in the Paramount all-star comedy, "International House" 1933. She dropped the 'Baby' when she was 15 and she went on to work in night clubs and then became more popular than ever in the 1960s as a sitcom regular on "My Sister Eileen" (1960-1961), "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1961-1966), "The Doris Day Show" (1969-1971 and she made many guest appearances and she was a semi-regular on "The Hollywood Squares". She also did theater and from 1977-1985 she was in the major cast of "4 Girls 4" with Helen O'Connell, Margaret Whiting, Rosemary Clooney. Rose Marie was married to trumpeteer Bobby Guy from 1946 to his death in 1964. They had one daughter, Georgiana Guy Rodrigues, who became a television producer.
