"Zaza" 1923 directed by Allan Dwan and written by Pierre Berton and Charles Simon. It was originally produced for Mrs. Leslie Carter on the stage in 1899 by David Belasco. The film was remade in 1939 starring Claudette Colbert. Gloria Swanson, H.B. Warner, Ferdinand Gottschalk, Lucille La Verne, Mary Thurman, Yvonne Hughes, Riley Hatch, Florence Fair, Helen Mack. Swanson with an oft-displayed portrait in the film of H.B. Warner. Swanson with Ferdinand Gottschalk, and then with Lucille La Verne as her Aunt Rosa.
