  Benjamin David "Benny" Goodman (May 30, 1909 – June 13, 1986) He was a jazz clarinetist and bandleader known as the "King of Swing". In the mid-1930s, Goodman led one of the most popular musical groups in the United States. His concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City on January 16, 1938 is described by critic Bruce Eder as "the single most important jazz or popular music concert in history: jazz's 'coming out' party to the world of 'respectable' music." Goodman's bands launched the careers of many major jazz artists. During an era of racial segregation, he led one of the first well-known integrated jazz groups. Goodman performed nearly to the end of his life while exploring an interest in classical music. Goodman's popularity continued to accelerate with 15 top 10 hits in 1936, including "Goody-Goody" and "You Turned the Tables on Me."   Normalize minding your own business when it comes to how someone else raises their kids. Not every parent is looking for advice. Not every parent needs your opinion. Sometimes, we just want to be seen. Or supported. Or left alone. You never know what someone is carrying behind the scenes. What battles they've already fought. What choices they've made after sleepless nights and a whole lot of love. So unless a parent asks you for advice maybe just offer them a kind smile. Or tell them they're doing a good job. Because most of us aren't looking for a fix. We're just doing our best. And that should be enough.

OPEN DE RAMEN ALS HET REGENT.... Normaal doen we de ramen dicht als het regent; dat is een fout die velen van ons maken. Als het regent in een periode dat het niet koud is, kunnen we zeker een paar minuten de ramen open zetten. De regen brengt zuurstofeffect en zuivert dus de lucht in ons huis, die "regengeur" moeten we in ons huis laten. Als het regent, ruikt het naar ozon en deze deeltjes zuiveren de lucht in ons huis. Dat hebben we allemaal gevoeld. Kort voor er een storm komt, het spijt ons. Het is een zeer karakteristieke metalen geur. En dan zeggen we het ongetwijfeld: "Het gaat regenen". De bijzondere geur voor een storm komt uit de ozon. Deze molecuul is nog steeds aanwezig in de atmosfeer, maar de concentratie in de lage gebieden neemt toe tijdens stormdagen.
