Nora Carver
Nora Carver taught at this one-room schoolhouse in Bremer on Butts Road. Nora married Artemis Ward Hugill and raised their children on Pear Street in Centralia. They eventually moved to a home at 1202 Alder St. in Centralia, to a home given to them by Nora’s father, William Carver. It came complete with lightening rods that were dismantled and scrapped for the metal during World War I.
Photo and information originally submitted by Ken Hugill and his mother, Vera, for Our Hometowns.
