RAINBOW UNDER A LIGHTNING STORM
RAINBOW UNDER A LIGHTNING STORMThe sun was still on the edge… while the storm was already fully awake.
This happened in Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi, where quick weather shifts can place sunlight and heavy rain in the same frame. The rainbow forms when the Sun hits rain droplets at the right angle, splitting light into color — while the dark cloud in the background is a strong storm cell building charge and releasing lightning.
That’s why it feels so unreal: warm sunset light in one direction, cold storm power in the other — all happening at once.
