Hey mama
Hey mama, I hope you know this.
Thank you for remembering the little things. The snacks everyone loves.
The pantry that somehow refills itself because you noticed what was missing before anyone else did.
Thank you for being the memory keeper.
The one who takes the pictures.
The one who freezes moments the rest of the family gets to simply live in.
Thank you for always knowing where the favorite toy is.
The blanket.
The water bottle.
The thing no one else can ever seem to find.
Thank you for packing the bags and the snacks and the backup outfits.
For preparing for every “just in case” even when no one realizes how much thought goes into it.
Thank you for the late night Googling.
The research.
The deep dives into choices that only you will ever understand the weight of.
Thank you for noticing when clothes start to fit a little too tight and quietly sizing up before the growth spurts even show.
Thank you for planning meals and making sure bellies are full even on the days when you feel like you’re running on nothing.
Thank you for being their safe place.
For giving comfort you’re not even sure you have left.
For showing up over and over again.
Thank you for carrying the invisible weight that no one sees but everyone feels.
I see you, mama.
You’re doing more than enough.
More than anyone realizes.
More than you ever give yourself credit for.
