This sick season has been brutal

This sick season has been brutal.

Like one thing after another, no real break, just passing it around the house and hoping you’re not next.

And there’s a little over a month left of flu season.

This is the stretch where everyone is worn down and immune systems are hanging on by a thread, so now is not the time to let the small stuff slide.

Have your kids change out of school clothes as soon as they get home.
Wash hands and faces right away.
Shoes off at the door.

Wipe down water bottles daily.
Wash lunch boxes weekly.
Backpacks monthly. Yes even the bottoms.
And don’t forget to wash those coats and jackets.

Crack windows when you can.
Wash sheets.
Disinfect the things little hands touch constantly.

This isn’t about panic or perfection.
It’s about doing what you can after the season we’ve already survived.

Because this sick season has been relentless.
And we’re so close to the other side.
