When I say I’m in my mom era

When I say I’m in my mom era, I mean it with every part of me.

Motherhood isn’t just something I do. It’s who I am right now.

I wear the mom bun.
I read the books about parenting.
I text my mom friends about bedtime routines and picky eating.
I eat my dinner while standing at the counter and scroll through posts about mom life that make me feel seen.

I wear a sweatshirt that says “mama.”
I drink cold coffee out of a mug that says “world’s best mom,” even when I feel like I’m falling apart.

Being a mom is my work.
It’s my joy.
It’s the most beautiful responsibility I’ve ever been given.

Ask me who I am and I could give you a hundred answers.
But the truth is simple.
I’m their mom.
And right now, that means everything to me.
