Peter Freestone

Peter Freestone was born on 8 January 1955 in Surrey, England. He first met Freddie after his charity performance with the Royal Ballet in 1979.

“I approached him after the show and said how I thought that Queen music, Freddie and the Royal Ballet went so well together. He said thank you and asked what work I did at the Royal Opera House as he had seen me there when he came for rehearsals. I explained about my work with the costumes for the dancers and that was the end of the conversation. It took about 3-4 minutes. I do remember my first thought… He’s short for such a big star! I stand at 188cm/6ft. 2ins. Freddie was about 177cm/5ft.9ins!”
