I don’t ever want
I don’t ever want my kids to believe that feeling something deeply is a weakness.
I want them to cry when their heart hurtsTo speak up when something doesn’t sit right
To say “I’m not okay” without shame
Because emotions aren’t something to be buried
They’re messages
They’re reminders
They’re human
I want them to grow up knowing how to sit with themselves
How to ask “what do I need right now?”
And how to love themselves through it
Because this world can be harsh
It won’t always hand them gentleness or understanding
So I’m teaching them to give that to themselves
Validation
Kindness
Safety
From the inside out
That’s how we break the cycle
That’s how we raise hearts that don’t just survive, but thrive
