The Craftsman
John Bleifer portrayed Isaac Singerman, a kind and wise Jewish man who appears in the Little House on the Prairie episode “The Craftsman.” In this touching story, Matthew Laborteaux as Albert Quinn Ingalls is taken in by Mr. Singerman, who teaches him carpentry and life lessons rooted in dignity, faith, and moral courage. Their bond becomes a powerful example of mutual respect and understanding across cultures, as Albert learns not only a trade but the deeper value of tolerance and integrity. This heartfelt episode remains one of the series’ most meaningful and poignant chapters.
