There’s nothing like sitting down with my kids

There’s nothing like sitting down with my kids and putting on one of the movies I grew up with.

It hits different when you’re the one who used to laugh at those same jokes, or hide your face at those same parts, and now you get to watch your kids do it too. It feels like I’m back in my own childhood, except now I’m the mom holding the snacks and fixing the blankets.

It’s more than just a movie night. It’s me sharing a part of who I was before I became “mom.” It’s showing them what made me smile when I was little, and now I get to see it all again through their eyes.

These moments remind me that being a parent isn’t just about creating new memories, it’s about passing down the old ones too. And I’ll never take for granted how special it feels to relive that magic with them sitting right beside me.
