I’m not raising robots

 I’m not raising robots.

I’m not raising “yes ma’ams” or people-pleasers.
I’m raising humans who know how to think for themselves.

Kids who ask “why”
Kids who say “that doesn’t feel right to me”
Kids who challenge things that don’t sit well in their spirit
Even when it’s uncomfortable
Even when it’s me they’re pushing back on

Because I don’t want my kids to grow up thinking their worth comes from obedience
I want them to know it comes from staying true to themselves.

So if they say no to something everyone else is doing? I’ll clap the loudest.
If they speak up when something’s wrong? I’ll be their biggest cheerleader.
If they question the rules? I’ll sit down and talk it through with them
Not shut them down

Because I’m not raising kids to just follow.
I’m raising future adults who lead with their hearts and minds.

And that starts here.
With me letting them think.
Letting them question.
Letting them be themselves
Loudly and unapologetically.
