Check on your friends with little kids

Check on your friends with little kids.

Because the truth is, they can’t do a lot of the simple things you take for granted.

They can’t just lace up their shoes and go for a run when the stress gets heavy.
They can’t go to the bathroom alone without little hands banging on the door.
They can’t watch a random show in the middle of the day, unless it’s on Disney+ and has a talking animal in it.
They can’t sleep in, even when they’re bone tired.
They can’t nap when their body begs them to, because someone always needs something.
They can’t sit down with a book and drink their coffee while it’s still hot.

They’re in the trenches. Every day.
And it’s beautiful, but it’s also exhausting in ways you don’t see.

So check on them.
Send a text. Drop off a coffee.
Remind them they’re still human under all the snacks, diapers, and tantrums.

Because sometimes, the smallest reminder that someone sees them is the only thing that gets them through the day.
