In a world

In a world where it feels like everyone is trying so hard to be something they’re not, I’m raising my kids to know they never have to change who they are to be loved.

I want them to grow up knowing that they don’t have to filter themselves down to be accepted. That their worth has nothing to do with how “perfect” they look, how popular they are, or how well they fit into whatever box the world tries to put them in.

I want them to know it’s okay to have opinions that are different from everyone else in the room. It’s okay to wear what makes them happy, even if no one else likes it. It’s okay to say no when something doesn’t feel right. And it’s more than okay to take up space, to speak up, to be loud about the things they believe in.

I want them to feel confident walking into any room as themselves without pretending, without shrinking, without worrying about being “too much” for someone else.

Because the truth is, there’s nothing more powerful than loving yourself exactly as you are.

And I’ll spend my life reminding them of that. Over and over again. Until it’s not just something they hear from me it’s something they believe with their whole heart.
