No one sees everything you do

No one sees everything you do.

No one sees you loading the dishwasher for the third time
Wiping tiny fingerprints off the mirror
Packing snacks
Folding clothes
Switching the laundry
Switching it again
Heating up your coffee for the fifth time and still not drinking it

No one sees the way you bite your tongue when you’re tired
The way you pause before yelling
The way you pick love when you want to choose silence

No one sees how you wake up before everyone
Or how you fall asleep thinking about what they’ll need tomorrow

But your kids
They feel it

They feel the way you reach for them even when you’re empty
They feel the safety in your arms
The steadiness in your voice
The comfort in your presence

They don’t see everything
But they feel everything that matters

You’re doing more than you think
And it’s enough
